CP was asked to recommend ways of assuring continued productivity of fundraising given the uncertainty of COVID-19. Our team identified strategies and tactics to maximize productivity of the agency’s spring event and annual holiday appeal and identified potential opportunities/alternatives.

CP was asked to assist with the design and development of a training program for new Executive Directors of nonprofits. We interviewed new Executive Directors about their own experiences and challenges, as well as how such a program might best be structured in terms of scheduling, topics, leadership, and fees.

CP was asked to assist in developing a strategic plan, with specific focus on growing the footprint of the organization. We facilitated workshops devoted to identifying the goals of the organization and its most critical issues. A strategic plan, including priorities, timing, and responsibilities was delivered.

CP was asked to help plan for smooth and thoughtful transitions from its interim leadership and to take a fresh look at three organizational structures. We developed a succession plan that prepared the organization to respond to strategic changes that create new leadership roles and be prepared for transitions when necessary.

We were asked to help develop a strategic plan to guide the organization’s operations for the near, intermediate, and long term. We delivered a plan and were subsequently asked to help train the board on the key elements of effective board performance and develop strategies to improve its performance.

CP was asked to help develop a new strategic plan, succeeding one that had reached its time horizon. We crafted a plan that calls for a “paradigm shift” in the education program from prime focus on the teacher/child relationship to the family/child/teacher relationship. We helped manage the planning effort in 2019, and in the beginning of 2020, helped operationalize the plan.

CP was asked to help develop an estimate of the economic value the client creates, both as an educator and as a local employer, to encourage higher levels of contributions from Norwalk Public Schools and other donors to support this growth. Our team built a financial model that included a measure of net economic value per student.
